MARTIN
SIMS Instructor - Inspector - Check Pilot
Martin's
19 years of microlighting experience commenced in
June 1986 at Shobdon airfield in Herefordshire where
he gained his PPL
On
completing his license he brought a microlight to
the South Wales Valleys (an area that because of it's
terrain was a no go area for many flat land microlight
pilots), he found a coal tip with a flat top and promptly
took off.

Over
the years much experience was gained flying microlights,
in the in hospitable terrain of the South Wales Valleys.
Flying in the Round Britain Rally, winning his class
in the Round Ireland Rally 1994, flying in various
rounds of the UK national competions and completing
several long distance charity flights. Martin has
flown hang gliders, paragliders and paramotors and
can regulary be seen soaring the ridges of South Wales
in his paraglider.

On Finals at Kemble!
As
well as holding a CAA/BMAA qualified flying instructor
rating Martin also holds a BMAA inspector and check
pilot rating.
